We are now working at our new space located at Unit 5 - 1315 Centennial Drive. (Past Costco, towards Hwy 401, right by the Holiday Inn Express, near Gardiners service centre)

My passion is helping adults navigate difficult life changes. Sometimes life moves quickly, situations arise, and life as we know it is different. This may be loss of a loved one, becoming a caregiver, getting a new chronic diagnosis, or just experiencing anxiety and depression. We move through the challenge, but we don’t give ourselves the opportunity to process, accept, and heal from the challenge. I work with my clients to help provide a sense of clarity and direction through these heavy and stressful times. I place priority on building trust, self-confidence, and a sense of clarity. I want to learn about what is important to you so we can work together to achieve your goals. I look forward to helping you build your resilience and strength.

Meet Jacqueline!

>Ever felt as though “no one told you life was gonna [sic] be this way?” As though, “you’re always stuck in second gear?” Or “when it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month or even your year?” Well, this is where “I’ll be there for you!”

I am a bilingual Registered Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, grief, family planning, pregnancy/postpartum adjustment, parenting, boundary-setting, relationship or marital issues, sexuality/intimacy issues, to name a few. I have additional training in Postpartum Depression, Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Walk & Talk Therapy. I also have 8 years experience working with children, youth and families in Children’s Mental Health.

I believe in working with individual adults and couples to help them reach their objectives and fulfill their purpose for seeking counselling. I do so while exhibiting respect, empathy, unconditional positive regard, genuineness and understanding. I am also hopeful, optimistic, determined and enthusiastic about their goals. I am motivated to seeing my clients succeed, however that may look in the end of our work together. I create a safe and non-judgmental space or outlet for them to feel heard. I can act as a sounding board, a devil’s advocate, a person of support or a “colleague” in their own life’s work. I use a variety of approaches in counselling and determine which is most beneficial to the client after meeting with them and discussing their therapeutic goals as well as assessing which of their skills and strengths can benefit them in attaining those goals. I am very passionate about helping women through the woes of starting a family (or adding to it), whether they are contemplating pregnancy, are pregnant, struggling with infertility or postpartum. I also love to work with parents, as a couple or individually, on the trials and tribulations of parenting. Additionally, I am skilled and eager to work with couples struggling in their relationship or marriage.

So, whether “you’re still in bed at ten, [when] work began at eight” or you feel “the world has brought you down to your knees” or that “your job’s a joke, you’re broke, [or] your love life’s DOA”, thank you for trusting me and taking the first step towards your mental health wellness. I’ll be there for you, every step of the way.

My name is Rohini Connor (Ro for short!) I have a passion for supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. My therapeutic interests include couples therapy, perinatal mental health, parenting, relationships, and major life transitions. With training in Level One Gottman Method and a therapeutic approach that is emotion-focused, attachment-based, and psychodynamic in nature, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered. Drawing from seven years of experience working with children and families, my long-term goal is to integrate my expertise in early childhood development with my work in psychotherapy to provide holistic, relational support for parents and couples. I believe that fostering emotional security within relationships—whether between partners or between parents and children—lays the foundation for deeper connection and personal growth. My approach is warm, compassionate, and sprinkled with humour, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for meaningful change.

In my own time, I enjoy a quiet and cozy lifestyle. I’m happiest in my pajamas with a cup of tea, spending time with my pets (big black cat, small brown dog 😊). When I do venture out, I love discovering new restaurants and thrift shopping!

I am currently completing my Master of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

I work with adults who are struggling with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions and experiences of trauma.

As a student therapist, I am passionate about helping my clients move towards greater meaning and connection with their values and life goals. I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space for individuals to become aware of any obstacles and maladaptive patterns that are keeping them stuck at this moment.

I incorporate both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) into our sessions which offer intentional and helpful skills for overcoming barriers such as unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, which can interfere with daily living and relationships. I also utilize a Psychodynamic framework to help clients gain awareness of potential unconscious patterns which may be at the root of depression or anxiety and inhibiting wellbeing.

Regardless of the specific approach that I may use, I believe that each client is the expert in their life and I work with your expertise to provide a comprehensive, client-centered, supportive and evidence-based approach to our psychotherapy sessions.

I look forward to working with you.

Fun facts: I enjoy running long distances and love to travel.
